MASAI MARA, KENYA: Crocodiles attack the defenceless wildebeest in the Masai River during August 2009. As hundreds of wildebeest crossed the Masai River giant crocodiles lay in wait in Kenya's Masai Mara game park during the annual wildebeest migration. This adult male was picked out and crocs spent over an hour thrashing around in the raging rapids as the desperate animal struggled to get away. Weakened by the fight the wildebeest eventually died.
